PAID REGISTRATIONS FOR TEAM DELEGATIONS

If your nation is not a member of WSDC please click here to register.

QatarDebate will pay for the registration fees for a delegation of up to 8 people from each country.  The delegation consists of:

3-5 Team Members

A Team Member is a student eligible to debate for their team according to the rules, who has been chosen in the national team and intends to debate as part of the team.  It does not include students who are ineligible to debate according to the rules, nor does it include students who are not intending to debate as part of the team.  Hence it does not include reserves or non-debating members.

Team Coach

Team Manager

The team coach and team manager may be the same person but there must be someone who is coaching and someone who is the team manager, either two separate people or the same. Both the Team Coach and Team Manager must be a responsible adult who is over 19. The Team Manager and Team Coach must accompany the team to every debate and function on the championship program, and amongst other things is responsible for liaising with judges and officials on behalf of the team.

Judge

A Judge is a person who is qualified under the rules to be a judge, and who will attend the judges training and assessment sessions and to judge whatever debates the Chief Adjudicators Panel may reasonably ask them to judge.  This position is for someone who has experience judging.  It is not a full training for a new or shadow judge.

2nd Judge OR 2nd Team Coach

Additional Notes:

If a country’s delegation does not reach 8 people according to these requirements, one of two things can occur:

    1. The country may send additional judges to fill the 8 places.
    2. The unused registrations will be pooled and made available to Judges from other countries whose registrations have not yet been paid for.  These pooled registrations will be allocated by the Chief Adjudicators (in consultation with the Chief Adjudicators Panel) according to criteria that are likely to be as similar as is reasonably practical to those used to select the 30 fully paid judges announced on 1 September.

Additional judges: 450 Euros
Additional observers: 650 Euros

Both include three meals, transport and double accommodation. If single rooms are required than an additional 30 Euros per person will be added. On completion of relevant form below, please send payment to:
